I know, man! This was around yesterday with zero replies, so how can it be on page 1 today!
That’s what I was thinking when I saw this.
So…were there any guidelines?
Or can I just declare tomorrow “Scout Appreciation Day” and say that it should be celebrating by delivering to me bountiful gifts of white chocolate chip cookies and offering me back rubs???

I’m working on approval for a few!
1. “Give Yourself to Those Who Desire You Day” - that day, each week, where it is ok to offer to sexual fulfillment to your admirers, regardless of marital status or social position. I am shopping for a pithier NAME for it.
2. “Blowhard Day” - when we all get to brag about ourselves nonstop.
3. “Boss Does the Shitwork Week” - self explanatory.
4. “Alienation Day” - the day we sit quietly at home and do not bother anyone else, especially family.

**Champagne and Walnut Cake Day**. One eats walnut cake and drinks champagne, with one’s friends and loved ones. Sure, champagne is expensive, but then so is a turkey dinner. The beauty of this holiday is its simplicity. Champagne and walnut cake. Nothing else is needed.

Well, since my original OP was eaten by a grue, I’ll re-post my thoughts here.
I was remarking that here in California we celebrated Cesar Chavez Day last Friday. It had escaped me at the time (not being Christian), but it was pointed out to me that it just happened to fall on Good Friday - how con_veeee_nient, eh? Then I was thinking about what a coincidence it is that Christmas happens to fall on Saturnalia, and I’m sure there are other such happenstances.
Then I was thinking, “Well, if I had to have off for a day, what day would I choose for myself?” Then it turned to, “What would such a holiday entail? Gifts? Chocolate? Family?”
So that’s what it all came out of.
So let’s hear some more holidays.

(Oh, my holiday is partly already taken care of - my birthday often falls on one of those “first Monday of the month” holidays, even though we don’t really get off from work or anything. And I ain’t tellin’ which one! 😛 )
