The Avengers have lots of time travelers in their ranks. Might be interesting to put them together just to contrast the heroic ideals of different eras: Captain America (WWII) Black Knight (Sir Percy, 8th Century) Two-Gun Kid (1870s) Thundra (Various, primarily Femizon future dystopia) Thor Hercules Gilgamesh Iron Man (Modern futuristic) Iron Lad (Young Kang) Starhawk (30th Century) Of these, for example, only Cap and Iron Man have specific codes against killing. Many of them come from eras when slavery and/or human sacrifice were accepted behavior. Sexual mores and ethics? Ten different sets from ten different eras! And try explaining to Thor, Gilgamesh and Sir Percy why plundering the loot of the vanquished is wrong. I’d bet at least two of these heroes has eaten and enjoyed human flesh. Yeah, try finding common ground with this lineup! ---

As of the House of M story line, she’s still the same ole hotness. I’m not sure what happened to Orange and Lumpy. Maybe her and Ben Grimm settled down to raise a family of little bricks. ---

I think she reverted back to being the hot Ms. Marvel (unless orange rocks are your thing). The Thing never seems to get the girl though, man is he thrice damned. What about an Avengers team with Reed Richards in it? I enjoyed his brief run in the Avengers. The New Avengers ins’t a bad comic at all if you can stomach Wolverine as an Avenger. ---

I think she reverted back to being the hot Ms. Marvel (unless orange rocks are your thing). The Thing never seems to get the girl though, man is he thrice damned. What about an Avengers team with Reed Richards in it? I enjoyed his brief run in the Avengers. The New Avengers isn’t a bad comic at all if you can stomach Wolverine as an Avenger. ---

Dr. Doom, in a fit of pique, changed her into an even worse monstrosity. Last time I saw her, she was (briefly) a member of the Frightful Four and looked about halfway human. You know that thing Reed does where he sends the team into the breach, based on some really far-fetched scientific theory that he doesn’t outline until after the fight? He tried that with Cap once, during the period they were both Avengers. Cap wasn’t amused, and Reed was off the team by the next issue. ---

Do alternate, albeit still Marvel-owned universes count? If so…most of the Ultimates, filled out with members of the “U.S. War Machine” unit, with Wolverine. (As long as he gets a better costume, or stays in civvies.) Add a couple of members of Squadron Supreme, and they should be running the planet inside six months. 😃 Seriously, I’ll think up a better version in the morning. (Double 😃 ) ---

He certainly wasn’t a useless dip in The New Warriors series. Back in the infinity crisis, his powers showed some impressive abilities. He punched the evil Rage double hard enough to make one of his bubbles burst, sending the clone flying across NYC. He also projected all of his bubbles directly at the Speedball double and disintigrated it. Speedball is a good character with strong powers that have yet to be fully explored. He’d make for a good read if handled properly. ---

I liked Speedball because he actually came from a stable background. He didn’t have much in the way of personal misery so I enjoyed the perspective of a normal guy getting somewhat goofy powers. I guess it was a little different from the usual “woe is me” thing Marvel usually produces. ---

I think a great lineup would consist of: **The Sentry** **Moon Knight** **Valkyrie** **Quasar** **Quicksilver** **Sub-Mariner** and a reformed **Super Skrull** _Actually, that might be a little too similar to the Squadron Supreme… the true originals._ ---
