Tonight, Gabi and Carlos’s baby is born. And Bree gets married…or does she? ---

It’s nice to see Teri Hatcher with a little more meat on her bones. She was looking downright skeletal last season, and she looks practically normal now. Her scene with Mike last week, begging him to wake up and tell her not to go on a date with Ian, was very touching. I didn’t get around to watching the premier until last night, but it’s looking good so far! Remember, it goes until 10:02pm Eastern tonight. ---

This show just gets more ridiculous. Poor Gabby. What is going to happen to that baby? ---

I’d assume that the baby would go to his biological parents. This seems to be backed up by the fact that Carlos and Gabby were talking about how the divorce would be easier with no baby. That whole wrong-embryo thing felt a little bit contrived to me, though. ---

Glad we get to see cute gardener dude again. That was him in the preview, right? ---

Now, I know that DH has a tendency to leave kids out until they’re necessary, but it was her mother’s wedding. Shouldn’t Danielle have at least been in the background somewhere? ---

The writers have said that, after the ratings drop of last season, they are returning to the soap opera/parody storylines of season one. I only wish they’d really go over the top a la _Green Acres_ and _Popular_. ---

Oh, I’m sure Danielle was there. We just didn’t see her. 😉 Perhaps the actress was unavailable at the time. I know; I’m just making up excuses. Well, at least next week we find out how homeless Andrew has been faring. Obviously, not very well! ---

As soon as they were about the show the baby, I thought, are they going to pull a Nip/Tuck and the baby will be black? Sure enough…although I didn’t remember the circumstances well enough to understand how it could have happened. :smack: And why would the doctor be brazen enough to whisper something to the corpse of presumably some other woman he killed? And why did he run down Mike; we don’t know yet, right? ---

Mike went to him for some dental work and Orson commented on Mike’s prison dentistry. Mike asked some questions and then a few hours later was eating asphalt. As to why Orson would whisper something to the corpse…he’s nutty as a fruitbat so who knows why he does anything. ---

The maddening thing about this show (that drives me to post here, instead of just turning the channel) is how they can have such good & bad writing in the same episode. For example: Good: “hey, we’ve mopped up the amniotic fluid, so let’s start the conga line!” Bad: why would the cop approach Bree at the wedding reception, when he’s looking for Orson? And why would Bree, who has had impeccable fashion sense for 2 full seasons, fall victim to the Hideous Bridesmaid Dress cliche? ---

In real life, no matter how impeccable one’s fashion sense may be they always seem to fall victim to Hideous Bridesmaid Dresses Syndrome. Being “The Bride” seems to do things to people’s brains. It may be a subconscious thing that brides do so that they can be the best looking woman at the wedding. ---

Even if Orson isn’t crazy, you’d think she’d take a hint and give the dating game a break for a while. I’m glad Gabrielle’s not ending up with a baby after all. The show doesn’t need one more kid to forget about whenever it suits the plot. When she was flirting with the gay waiter, I thought Carlos would get jealous and end up punching out another gay guy. I hope Julie doesn’t get together with that Austin guy, who has all the features of a hot guy yet isn’t actually hot. You know they will though. ---

I took one look at the guy and said, “Are we supposed to think he’s hot?” Of course, he’s Edie’s nephew, so it runs in the family…great body, but the face, the personality…not so much. And how long ago did Orson’s wife go missing? Why would any body that old be in a condition to be identified by the face? And count me in on the people who thought it was weird that the cop came to the wedding looking for Bree, to tell her they were looking for Orson. All of a sudden they need Bree’s permission to talk to Orson? Oh, wait, right, this is DH, not CSI or Law and Order! What was I thinking!
