This one is called City on Fire. I’m hoping for fireworks involving Creepy Hubby and that guy that McCluskey and her sister contacted last week. ---

It was rather disturbing to watch the fires on the show after viewing so much wildfire footage here. Psycho Guy will absolutely stop at nothing. He is a truly frightening and very clever character. Thank goodness for some comic relief from Gabi and Grandma Screwloose. ---

I think whoever predicted that Dave was the husband and dad of the people Mike and Susan killed, nailed it. ---

I was thinking he was the brother of the guy Mike killed in self defense. You could be right, though. Good episode, but I’m pissed that we have to wait two weeks for some resolution. I normally hate false accusation storylines but I hope Porter at least gets beat up in jail. Can’t stand that kid. ---

Well it’s clear now that he’s after Mike, but also seems that he wants to do more than simply see him die, since he saved him from the fire. There seemed to be some suggestion that this was a way to give him a public image, which could give him an alibi later. But still, he had plenty of alibi this time if he merely wanted Mike dead. In the beginning someone was arrested for the fire, but unless I missed it, we didn’t see who it was. The owner guy was accusing the Scavo son, but I don’t think we actually saw him handcuffed. Loved “can I be gay now”? 😃 I love seeing old lady from Six Feet Under, but I’m wondering what they can really do with that story line. ---

What a worthless fire department. They’re running around outside and Dave just runs in the front door and past a few bodies on the floor that I think the firemen could certainly have rescued had they even tried. ---

So if Dave changed his name and it seems the Doctor didn’t realize it until later how did he know who McClusky and her sister were referring to when they called. They would have used his new name and the Doctor, from what I gather, wouldn’t have known that name. ---

It was - as I recall - in the season opener. Mike and Susan were in a car accident (I don’t think they were at fault, but I can’t remember) and in the other car were a mother and her young child, who both died. The strain of the accident is what led to Mike and Susan’s divorce. ---

Ok, so I just read the season premier recap at TWOP, and some of it I’m sure I saw, but some of it doesn’t ring any bells whatsoever. I must’ve either been switching between shows or nodding off. Doctor says he’s been there a month and doesn’t seem any closer to coming to terms with his rage. Dave says he’s come to terms with it and likes it just the way it is. Dr. Heller says the charges were dropped because he agreed to put himself into a doctor’s care, and that he won’t release him until he sees some real progress. He needs to be sure Dave’s not a danger to himself or others. I usually never watch TV, but I was at my mother’s house following a fishing trip. I saw a few things that bugged me; anybody else see them? The bathroom has a lock on the _outside_ of the door. The emergency exit has a padlock clasp on it. Is this nightclub up to building code or what? Plus, after the guy in the restroom ripped the towel dispenser off the wall to smash the window, when Psycho Guy came back later to rescue the asphyxiated guy, the towel dispenser was neatly hung on the wall again. Psycho Guy looks like a fun character to watch, though. 😃 ---

The only way it would work is if the emergency door was converted from a regular door (because emergency doors are usually 1-way) and the padlock was added after building inspection (extremely unlikely, especially post-_Great White_ incident, but possible if the owner is a big enough paranoid asshole, and he is.) The bathroom could have been an old storage room converted into a bathroom after inspection, but again, extremely unlikely. They’re basically plot devices that we aren’t supposed to think about :). ---

It wasn’t padlocked until Porter and his mother left through the door in a huff. The owner (the wife beater) then asked a worker to lock the door. Silly because there’s obviously a front door, but that’s the reason. The show was vaguely creepy to me because over 30 years ago in Cincinnati we had a horrific fire at the Beverly Hills Supper Club, a local night club. Hundreds of people died that night, in part because the emergency exits were locked.
