Yep, S3E01 was shown last night. Somewhat low key start,but very much in the same vein as before. Very sweet sequence featuring magpies and music by The Unthanks. ---

I always forget how sad the show can be. They just missed in series one. They keep just missing now. Andy’s taken a job where his bosses don’t care about archeology or actually preserving the past if it means that there’s a delay in construction. And there’s the looming problem of the solar array. It’ll be interesting to see what happens. ---

Mackensie Crook has said there won’t be anymore series so one more epi to go and they all have to live happily ever after. Fwiw, I think this third series has got stronger as it’s gone along. ---

Toni and Andy both clearly came up with the idea of Kate using the boat immediately. What was the point of playing dumb until the wheels of Lance’s brain eventually reach that idea himself? ---

It might foreshadow the ending or it might just be that Lance is gifted in some areas of life and less so in others; he can sense the magpies and gold but he’s a bit OCD and couldn’t detect a hint if his TR7 depended on it. ---
