# Detonator XP Drivers by nVidia

Anyone who has a video card that has nVidia chips in them should get these drivers straight away, post haste!
I got almost a 10 FPS increase in Quake3 in 1024x768 32bit, everything maxed out, trilinear filtering, etc.
My v7700 pure Geforce2 GTS now manages 80 FPS (not overclocked) on my Athlon 600 classic with the settings mentioned above.
No, you do not need windowsXP to use them. They are called that becasue they have some XP featurs if you happen to have/get it. Works for all current versions of windows (maybe not 2000…I dunno) and all newer and older chipsets from tnt to Geforce 3

Somehow I doubt it would help my aging tnt2 ultra all that much. ☹ I’ve settled on the Det 6.50’s as the most stable for my card.
