According to [this](http://www.servinghistory.com/topics/luminol) Luminol only glows for 30 seconds, so it’s realistic that the rest of the team didn’t see anything. ---

He said “finally” - meaning that at some point he began to suspect that Lumen was correct and needed the guy to do something so he could finish the job. ---

The best scenes in this episode (next to Masuko’s pantomime) were Dexter looking back and forth from Lumen to the dentist, trying to decide whom to believe. The kicker should have been “What’s a dentist, married with children, doing hanging out in a bar picking up chicks?”. But it took the phone call to convince him. ---
