Mrs. Chef says if we want to have the dopefest at our house, that’s fine with her. She suggested a theme party, like an 80’s party for example. Everyone can break out the acid-washed jeans and Members Only jackets (admit it, you saved them), get your hair as big and Flock-of-Seagulls-y as you can, and get down to Mrs. Chef’s extensive collection of Big 80’s music. I can cook. What do you all think? (if you like the idea of coming here but think the theme thing is lame, say that too. She’s not wedded to the idea.) If we have it here, I can have the pleasure of picking up the tab for dinner even though I could never afford to do it at a restaurant ---

I’m up for the theme thing, but I honestly have nothing left from the 80’s. They all went up in smoke in The Great Bonfire of '91. Perhaps a porno theme? ---

Okay, if I’m going to cook I’ll need to know well in advance how many people are coming so I can figure out the menu and the seating arrangements. Creole cooking is my specialty…any objections to jambalaya? I could also do cuban-style black beans and rice…that always gets rave reviews. If anyone has special dietary needs or allergies, I’d appreciate it if you let me know. And who’s bringing the beer? _grin_ Don’t worry, **Grace,** I’ll have wine on hand. ---
