Mmmmmm. _licks fingers_ Oooooooh. Groooooan. Many snow crabs met their maker that day. many, many snow crabs. Many. _sigh_ You folks missed it. HOWEVER! It turns out that Dick’s Last Resort will be doing their all-you-can-eat crab-leg feast every sunday through tuesday in the month of august! So we can try again and maybe have one or two of you show up. Also, we didn’t know this but tonight the ringling bros. elephants were parading through the west end. Our car was blocked in by watchers, so we stayed to watch also. ---

Okay, here’s the tentative schedule for Sunday: One-ish: come-on-a my house, a myyyyy house… I wanna feed you candy… (Okay, not candy. In fact I haven’t decided what I’m making, but I promise that out of deference to Jim, there will not be rice involved for once. If there’s anything someone doesn’t want, speak up.) Maybe burgers on the grill, potato salad, and my secret recipe baked beans. If someone wants to bring something, we can discuss ice, fruit salad, beer, margaritas, etc. Three-ish (or whenever people are done eating and Mrs. Chef has arrived, showered, and grabbed a bite): Caravan over to the lovely Showplace Lanes in Garland (five minutes from _casa del Chef_). Bowling ensues. When everyone is tired of bowling-ish: back to _casa del Chef_ to nosh on leftovers and watch _The Mummy_ or some other DVD (those who wish to do so, that is… if not you are welcome to peel off and go back to your grey listless lives.) How does that sound to everyone? Post here asap with conflicts or general pissiness. Otherwise… **Zyada** or **JimB**? Can you throw together an email invite so that newcomers can find out how to get to my place? ---

It turns out that Mrs. Chef is NOT working at the _ **Snot** _ Wrangler job this sunday, but at her _ **Snob** _ Wrangler job. This means that she will not be home until after **six** pm, rather than three pm. So I would like to suggest a change in the order of things. Let’s hang out at my place first, watch a DVD, eat, etc. and then bowl in the early evening. Is this OK? Mrs. Chef said she would understand if people don’t want to reschedule and will accept missing bowling if necessary. Notification of this is going out via e-mail as well… but someone will still probably have to tell **Adam Yax.** ---

The email has been sent. I received it earlier so hopefully we can get a count on how many people to expect. I had two pan-fried meat dumplings and a crab rangoon for dinner. I washed it down with a Dr Pepper and then later had some Ben and Jerry’s _Chunky Monkey_ to make it a completely non-healthy dinner. 😃 ---
