Hmmm… I hate to say it, but this kid is just plain bonkers. Not sure he’s all there. I mean… it’s the smallest of concerns, but most people see the word “moderator” and give a few extra moments thought before saying “go f\*ck yourself asswipe.” I give him “maybe” 4 hours. ---

Not that I would ever attempt to deny the modern North American teenage his or her fair share of angst and alienation but I grew up in the third world and have seen really little kids deal with death, disease, grueling labor and constant hunger. I get so annoyed with the “Life is shit, I’m so dark, woe is me” dribble that some spoiled 15 or 16 year poseurs feel compelled to spew. Sometimes I’d like the power to drop them in another culture with limited resources for say,oh, a year or two and then ask them how bad life in the 'burbs \*really[/i[ is. [sub] Now, I am emphatically not, repeat not, maintaining that some N.A. teenagers don’t have very real problems or suffer from abuse or poverty.[/sub] ---

You know something ? I’m absolutely disillusioned with the kids today: Not a goddam idea amongst them that’s not a product of some corporate musak oaf who stole it him/herself from a previous generation - where’s this lot now ? Alice Cooper circa 1971 ? And all this angst that’s utter self-absorbsion – what happened to getting out the and trying to change the world: Globalisation, Corporate abuse, Kyoto ?..no, this pathetic generation want to play with their toys and blame mummy. I can’t deal with them – cold showers…put them in the Army, I say! Or introduce 'em to the idea of Oliver’s Army, at least. Right, that one’s done. Mr Angry moving to his next target… ---
