One year, I swear it, one year some weirdo is gonna pop out of the crowd and pull out a sword and Dick Clark will pull out a sword and yell “There can be only one!” and Queen starts up and oh my God Dick cut his head off. Then the Quickening will happen and he’ll be like 20 again. ---

I hosted a NYE party and wanted to have the TV on for the ball drop, but considering the options were Ryan Seacrest, Carson Daly, and Fergie (and apparently Kathy Griffin, which I learned from this thread) I stayed in the other room. Am I the only one who had to stifle laughter whenever Dick came on? This is the first year I have ever watched a countdown show and it was inane, but Clark’s mangling of the countdown was definetly the highlight. ---
