I hosted a NYE party and wanted to have the TV on for the ball drop, but considering the options were Ryan Seacrest, Carson Daly, and Fergie (and apparently Kathy Griffin, which I learned from this thread) I stayed in the other room. What’s Bob Barker up to these days?

Am I the only one who had to stifle laughter whenever Dick came on? This is the first year I have ever watched a countdown show and it was inane, but Clark’s mangling of the countdown was definetly the highlight.
With all the personality of 1/2 cup of low-fat small curd cottage cheese with a giant cockroach drowned in it.
Seriously, there’s bland and inoffensive, and Seacrest could be that, if it weren’t for the streak of careless, thoughtless, frequently homophobic and/or sizist tripe that falls out of his piehole. He’s a waste of TV space. I’d rather watch Carson Daly, and Carson Daly makes me want to stab out my eyes with a knitting needle.
I think it is cool to have him do that small part that he is doing. The man is a legend, and that is really what he is offering to the event…his legendary New Yearsy Vibe.
That said, I held it together through that clip till he said, “3,2, HAPPY DEW YEAR!!”

It was on ABC.
