You justify away the evil actions of others and dismiss valid comparisons with your manipulations. Swine such as you are destroying the country I love with your warped conception of what it means to love your country. It does not mean that you should jump through hoops to justify any actions by your political party, no matter how perverted. Sometimes to love means you must stand up and say, “What you are doing is wrong!” You and your fellows are not patriots nor, for that matter, good Republicans or good conservatives. You have thrown away the values you claim to hold in order to support actions we used to only associate with totalitarian regimes. And what did you gain from this? Are you more secure, now that stories and photos leaked from your concentration camps “prove” to people around the world that the United States is, indeed, as bad as they were told and make recruiting more terrorists child’s play? Does that make our soldiers safer or the job of rebuilding Iraq and Afghanistan easier? No, it does not, and it is only because you have chosen to ignore facts that you do not see that. I no longer give you and your kind the credit of being obtuse. No, it has gone past the point where it can be explained by your being lazy and stupid. I now believe you and Rove and Bush are actually malicious. Do yourself and your immortal soul a favor and grow a conscience. ---

I’d rather be thought crazy for screaming against the utter destruction of our international reputation, goodwill, and general love of freedom and liberty than be thought to be in placid agreement with that destruction. Who was it that said “Extremism in the defense of liberty is no vice”? Oh, yeah…that was one of yours, back when the Right had an actual soul and stood for something other than “Win this election at all costs, no matter who or what we have to bulldoze and ruin to do it”… ---
