As a spillover from a [current](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?t=824581) thread here in the BBQ Pit dealing with FGM, [another](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?t=824772) thread was created in GD dealing with male circumcision. This thread has recently been locked, as the debate was getting rather heated. I now offer this public space where all the lovers of penis mutilation can gather and regale us with the wonders of male circumcision and how it is leading humanity on to a higher plane of existence; where those with the temerity to prefer bodily integrity can be mocked for the benighted savages which they most obviously are. I eagerly await your enlightenment, O Wise Ones… ---

You mean the “The Dick Slicer Crew” sickos, that try to use pseudo-science to justify children’s sexual organs mutilation because of religious fanaticism in the name of the almighty God? Keep those Bible-thumping-nutters knifes from our children - male and females. There’s no need at all to do that sort of horseshit - besides the very few cases, where it’s necessary for medical purposes, but again that’s VERY rare. Besides, GOD gave you that foreskin for a reason - it was extremely nice of him to give this gift, it gives a lot of pleasure to uncircumcised males - Sex is just that much better. Cutting it off, will not only reduce the pleasure for the male, due to loss of almost all sensitive parts of the penis, it also reduces the pleasure of the receiving female. ---

Well, if it makes you feel any better I’ll go yell at my mom and apologize to my son. Actually, my son’s wang wasn’t a Bible Thumper decision at all. I have no [del] dick[/del] dog in this fight- I like both styles- but how would one know if sex is that much better either way? I also find it hard (ha again!) to swallow (I can’t stop myself!) that almost all the sensitive parts of the penis are lost with circumcision. And I definitely call bullshit as far as reducing the pleasure of the receiving female. ---

As a woman, I have no dog in this fight. I’ve had sex with circumcised and uncircumcised men and never really noticed a difference and sex with both has been equally good/bad. Most of my partners have been uncircumcised and I’m a 46 year old Canadian so maybe it’s becoming less and less popular. One thing I’ve wondered about is that some men get circumcised as adults, I’ve personally known 3 men who did this. My ex-husband did because every time he got an erection, his foreskin would split and bleed. Even just regular old morning wood did this to the poor guy. My handicapped cousin had it done as an adult because he couldn’t properly clean himself and kept getting yeast infections. A coworkers husband had it done because his foreskin would rip when they had sex. So there are some legitimate reasons for having it done. I’ve never heard of an adult woman having any FGM procedure done for medical reasons. Anyway just throwing that out there. ---
