> Obviously, the answer to the latter is _maidens._

No I don’t eat dragon, cause, uh, it’s not a meal for peasants, it’s a meal for kings, and I’m sort of a common man. But they don’t eat us, it’s a common misconception. They actually eat gold and treasure – that’s why they’re always sitting on a pile of it.

Kirk Cameron aside, edible bananas are a man-made creation, so A&E would be eating nasty woody little berries.

That first one looks like an etrog, drawn by someone who has never seen one up close. You would not bit directly into one. They have a really thick rind.

> In my growing-up religious years, I often thought that if the fruit still existed in our world, then it would have to be something poisonous to us today. I mean, if it was toxic enough to knock two (then) unmortal beings down to where they were able to die, it would surely be something that would kill the rest of us if we ate it now. Never looked into anything that could fit that description, though.

> The point was not that the fruit was poisonous; it was that it was forbidden. The story was about disobedience, not food poisoning.

Also, they were booted from Eden because they _weren’t_ immortal, but there was a tree with the fruit of immortality in the garden that God didn’t want them to get their hands on.

Stupid serpent should of given us the tree of life’s fruit first, since it wasn’t forbidden.

Viking motto:

Remember! First pillage, then burn.

You know, when G-d told Adam not to eat of the tree of knowledge, Eve hadn’t been created yet, so it’s possible that Adam botched it when he told her the commandment, and she didn’t quite get how serious the transgression was.

Maybe she got the trees mixed up: you know, one for eternal life, one for knowledge of good and evil.
