I just finished the book _Silent Coup_, and it said that Kissinger was such a jerk at times that Al Haig took him aside and threatened to give him the ol’ one-two. This is the first that I’ave heard of this, but I’ve only read _Will_, by G. Gordon Liddy, and I can’t even remember the other Nixon administration book that I read, and I didn’t see this in either of them. Are there any other references to this? Thanks, hh ---

In British parliamentary history, I did hear from good sources that Prime Minister Anthony Eden upended a waste-paper basket on the head of a military adviser who told him not to attack Egypt over the Suez Canal. Then - literally - kicked his arse out the door. Eventually the US kicked Eden’s arse (diplomatically speaking). ---
