I’m just not understanding why he’s being mentioned at all here in apparent connection to FFC.
I do now

Ignorance Fought! Let’s mark another notch in the banner! ![]()
..and in case you think this is a new/modern phenomenon…I’ll add:
Toby Wing
First thought was Tim and Jeff Buckley
Though Tim was much more talented
My first reaction was “I had no idea the Ctrl-alt-del guy had a kid in the trade!”
Then I thought about that, Googled it, and ignorance was fought.
Berry Gordy… and of course his son Rockwell… Rockwell - Somebody's Watching Me (Official Music Video) - YouTube
Okay Seriously… the Barry Boys… Rick was an alltimer but Brent, Jon, Scooter, all had basketball success…
The Chaplins have done enough things as a whole that Wikipedia has a group listing for the family.
I’m not sure it’s even possible for anybody to be as radically famous and successful as Charlie, but mother Hannah and father Chas. Chaplin Sr. were both known performers in the English music halls, and half-brother Sydney was an actor and Charlie’s business manager. Eldest daughter Geraldine is a successful actress, and granddaughter Oona is, I think, currently in Game of Thrones. Others have won Tonys, modeled for mainstream fashion publications, started their own circuses (not kidding), etc. They are a dynasty unto themselves.
What I came in to say.
Princess Anne was, in her day, a very successful equestrienne who won a European Three Day Eventing championship and rode at the [I think it was 1976] Olympics.
Her ex husband, Mark Phillips was a good, but not great Eventer who represented Britain at international level many times
Their daughter Zara has won the European and World championships, and is set to ride at the London Olympics in a few weeks time.
In Showjumping the Whitaker family [in Britain] have a second generation competing at the top levels, alongside the old guard of John, Michael and Steven. The most notable of the new ones are Ellen, Robert and William.
Speaking of Ravi Shankar, I learned recently that his daughter Anoushka Shankar is also a fine musician.
I know exactly nothing about Indian Classical music, but I’ve heard that Anoushka isn’t highly regarded in the Indian Musical Community, considered by many to be a mediocre artist riding her father’s coattails.
No matter to me- I loved her performances as soloist and conductor at the Concert For George, and will continue to enjoy them.
.
Now that is exactly what I thought about Norah Jones, but it turned out not to be true.
I suppose Anoushka would be a special case, as her instrument (sitar) is famous for being particularly difficult to master. I don’t find it hard to believe the disparaging comments about her, but don’t much care anyway. In my ignorance, I love watching her performances at the George Concert.
How about Randolph Churchill and Winston Spencer Churchill?
I really liked the movie “Moon,” which was written and directed by Duncan Jones. I have high hopes for him. His father is the incomparable David Bowie.
