You’re seriously overreaching there. By simply *using *the term “Cornhusker kickback”, among others, Scalia was demonstrating that he doesn’t even pretend to be motivated by something other than bloodyminded partisan loyalty. All he was looking for was a way to find some bullshit cover story for ruling against whatever the Democrats propose. He certainly *knows *compromising is part of legislating, so don’t insult his intelligence by signing on to that cover story.
