That’s certainly one option but I’m not sure it makes “more” sense. How about - Fresh meat is for hunters and road kill is for the sick or slow - instead?
There’s no way to deal with sheep without a sheepdog… No sheep,no wool. No wool,no warm clothing/rugs/sweaters… Yes,hides with the hair on can be used,but the sheep grows new wool every year… and the hide is a one time thing
And? There were advanced civilizations in the Americas that didn’t have sheep or sheepdogs.
doorhinge: Scientists don’t use terms like “lazy” to describe survival tactics in evolution. “Lazy” is a human social construct, and using that term is anthropomorphizing the process. Similarly with “genetically inferior”. Populations are genetically different, and that is the result of adaptation to different environments.
