You know, the stupidity of comparing Obama to Hitler doesn’t bother me nearly so much as the pictures of Heath Ledger’s Joker makeup superimposed over Obama’s face. Often, these pictures include the words “Why so socialist?” Now, I don’t get offended by much (especially others denigrating politicians), but those pictures disgust me in a way that I can only describe as visceral. ---

mswas, my opinion of you has genuinely dropped quite a few notches due to this thread. This is probably the laziest OP I’ve ever seen. I can’t imagine anyone over the age of about six finding it worth reading. Just a horrible idea. ---

I don’t get that. Obama = Hitler is Godwin come to life. Obama as Joker is a relatively clever and well done photoshop that was just co-opted for the silly “Socialist?” thingie. That doesn’t seem like a big deal at all to me. ---

Even though Hitler did far worse things on a much larger scale than the Joker, the Joker comparison is more immediate and personal and thus more visceral. ---
