But there **are** times when you are being understood perfectly and rebutted most vociferously, and after a certain point (possibly a frustration point) you _do_ switch to holier-than-thou mode and start talking down to everyone instead of actually arguing. It’s quite obvious from a third-party perspective, and the signs seem clear enough when it happens to myself as well. And yes, in those cases I _don’t_ believe you honestly think you are being misunderstood. I think you think you’re being _underappreciated_. Which is _not_ the same thing. ---

(Which raises the question of why he’s responding to you…) I gotta say, I just don’t understand the idea of putting a person on ignore. It’s not like it’s going to make the conversation more comprehensible to lop bits of it out. Is it some kind of power trip thing? “Look at that post - I can silence him! I can blot out his words entirely! Bwahahaha!” -Forgetting of course that you’re not actually making him silent; you’re making yourself deaf, with the accompanying appearance of one too haughty, cowardly, or argumentively incapable to respond. I didn’t respond to him. I responded AT him. Actually I am thinking about removing Bryan Ekers. Nothing has been missed by ignoring Lobohan and ElvisL1ves, but also there is a view post section so I can take a peek any time I want to. Usually I don’t put people on ignore, but like is too short to deal with the assholes. All of this stuff about haughty/cowardly stuff is hyperbolic bullshit. I couldn’t stand not seeing the posts for a long time and finally I realized how contentless these guys are fro the most part. Bryan is the only one who interests me. It’s amusing though that this is the longest thread he’s ever started. That shows that he needs me for people to care about what he has to say. 😉 It’s a good thing I have servants to start threads for me. 😉 Bryan Ekers can carry my towel silently any day he wants. Now! Fetch me some water princess! Quietly! ---

And it _is_ cowardly to ignore your opponents arguments and keep posting as if you haven’t been rebutted. I’m not imagining it; people call **lekatt** out for this all the time. The fact that you think they’re contentless doesn’t change the fact that others might not agree and will percieve your silence and something other than the blissful willful ignorance it would be. Regardless I still can’t understand the ‘ignore’ mentality. Not wanting to deal with the assholes doesn’t cut it for me - it’s simple enough to be curt or brief in your responses, or simply refrain from responding to uninteresting posts.
