Am I the only one who finds it odd that he/she left his/her wife for another woman - something VERY hetereosexual - and then became a woman (in whatever capacity that is)? Is this dominatrix a transexual as well? No judgement, I just thought the logical path would be to fall in love with a dude and then change genders. Does this mean she feels like a lesbian trapped in a man’s body? If so, that’s kinda odd, right? ---

Just as you would not automatically expect a man who’s attracted to other men to want to be a woman, there’s no particular reason to expect a man who wants to be a woman to be attracted to men. My understanding is that MtF transsexuals identify as lesbians at a higher rate than biological women. ---

So yes, I guess she’s technically a “lesbian trapped in a man’s body” but it’s really not unusual in the trans community. Falling in love with another woman and leaving your wife isn’t a very “heterosexual” thing to do. It’s just a human thing to do. ---

I’m not over-sensitive, so you don’t have to worry about that. But I came into this thread because I was genuinely curious and while I’d heard the rumors for years, I’ve never seen the Wachowskis reference it and pictures of Larry have been pretty sparse since the Matrix days. And the rumors have always been “His unnamed good friend says Larry is now Lana. Isn’t that great?” I wanted to know if there was something more out there than tabloid-level gossip. And there was. The end. ---

You do realize that I replied to the thread before you did, and in fact the only reason we were even exchanging comments was because you replied to me with a rather snarky question? I “entered this thread” because I never even heard about the Larry/Lana thing, I followed the links, I saw the evidence, and I posted my opinion. She was tricked up for something special. Maybe she was filming a scene with Ariana. Maybe the wig is from the movie and Lana plopped it on her head right before the picture was taken. Maybe she was going to a costume party. Maybe she just got up that morning and decided to wear a colorful wig. Who knows? It’s one picture ([well, two](http://www.movieline.com/2009/12/noted-blog-magnate-tweets-from-set-of-untitled-insane-wachowskihuffington-project.php)), taken on one day, and I thought she looked adorable. Not just the cute hair, but the beautiful smile too, the kind of smile that comes when a person is happy and relaxed, getting a picture taken with friends and family. Other [pictures of her](http://gfx.aftonbladet-cdn.se/multimedia/dynamic/00914/lanawachowski_914694l.jpg) are far more normal, and with an expression that comes from having a picture taken by paparazzi. ---

Which seems to be pretty common - the picture of the two of them on Wikipedia is the same.) ---
