# Did Mitt Romney get a big bailout from Tarp?

Perhaps this is a conflation with the huge federal bailout that he depended on when he “saved” the [2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City](http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/08/06/mitt-romney-olympics_n_1748235.html):
