I disagree. Trump is 100% salesman. He has done that all his life and that is all he knows. EVERYTHING he does is sales. He knows exactly what effect his comments have and can manage the comments and effects better than most. That puts him miles ahead of most politicians who can’t manage either their comments or their effects. Most politicians deal with that inability by taking a long time to say nothing. A salesman knows he has 30 seconds to deliver his elevator speech. That is what makes Trump so good with voters, not his policies.
I do agree that this time the voters ignored the media (meltdown). It is just a continuation of the a long-standing trend, Trump benefited from it but didn’t start or cause it.
