How did Lockheed manage to register the name “Skunk Works”, since it’s such a small variation on the term that inspired it, the Skonk Works from the comic strip Pogo?:

I find it impossible to drive or ride in a car while wearing any sort of hat other than a baseball cap. The brim in back hits the headrest. I think that this might be a small factor in the decline of wearing real hats.

Lynn, that’s true, but you can always remove the hat.

One thing I find amusing is that a woman wearing a skirt, no matter what kind of skirt it is, is automatically assumed to be “dressed up.” I once wore a casual black skirt with boots and a shirt to class and a classmate of mine said, “What are you all gussied up for?” (not in a nasty way, he meant it as a compliment).

It’s kind of funny.
