Not doing so bad… how you doin’? Another reason I’m glad I didn’t do the crush mail thing for the guy I was pining for is that while at the time I had myself convinced he’d _know_ it was me, I realized in retrospect that he probably wouldn’t. Wouldn’t know, wouldn’t care, basically. And I would have been crushed (ha ha!). [hijack] Sorry I can’t make the Atlanta Dopefest… and it’s looking like I won’t be in town for DragonCon this year either, as I’m broke and so are most of my con-going friends… [/hijack] ---

Is it a matter of the housing and airfare, or just the airfare? Because I live five miles from the convention center, and you and all your con-going friends are welcome to crash at Chez Fiver if you come down. So that’s one concern gone. ---

I get these from time to time. I’m pretty sure it’s all a front for an email list generator (i.e. generated address lists are sold to chain mail operations (via another site)). Maybe if you’re lucky you’ll find someone that has a crush on you - 😉 - but more likely the spam in your inbox will increase. 😛 ---

Thanks for the offer, **Fiver**! It’s a combination of things… a place to crash would definitely help, but my pals seem to be evading discussion of the con which leads me to believe that they are perhaps more broke than I. Somebody call Ripley’s, 'cause that’s damn near impossible. Also, I am trying desperately to find a new job. If I’m successful any time before the convention, I won’t really be able to count on getting enough time off for it. Last year it was about a week’s worth of vacation days, counting travel and post-con decompression. I’m sorta bummed about this, but if this year doesn’t work out, I’ll try for next year. I was hoping to see **Mullinator** knock somebody over with a revolving door 😉 ---

Weirdly enough, I just got one of these “crush” thingys in my e-mail account! So either I have fallen victim to the faceless corporate mass e-mailings, or someone here took pity on me and added me to their crush list! I tried to go to the site to see which it was, but my browser (or their server) failed me! ---
