# Did the mods delete a lot of Pit threads just now?

I thought there were a lot more threads in the Pit last night than there are now. Mass deletion of “Tastes great/Less filling” election talk? Or just me seeing things?

I see no evidence of such . . . if one of our mods had removed more than a thread or two from public view I’d know about it, we mods keep in touch with one another about that sort of thing.

However, if you could remember some thread titles, that might help . . . what do you think is missing?

I don’t know of any specific titles. Really, if you say you didn’t delete anything, I believe you. Just that there’s been so much activity in the Pit lately, and I remember looking at the forum list last night and thinking, “Jeez, there’s a lot going on here.” Then, this morning, it looked like a lot less.

Probably just my perception. But thanks for responding.

Possibly, the link you clicked to get into the Pit is parametrized to show you threads with new posts during the past 24 hours only. Normally, that will get you a full page + spillover into additional ones.  
Maybe you checked during a “down” time (early morning on the weekend?), and there were fewer “live” threads than the maximum number of threads shown per page. This would **look** like a whole bunch of threads had disappeared.
