# Did the success of Titanic make James Cameron gun shy?

It’s been 6, 7 years since _Titanic_ and the man has done very little, other than an IMAX documentary on the Titanic. What’s up: is he scared to do a followup to the worlds largest grossing movie? Has the success of _Titanic_ made him gun shy or just complacent? Any news on any new projects?

did it make him shy?..i dont know but i do know it made him stinking rich…maybe hes enjoying the money…i know i would be

Well, he did Dark Angel. He produced on Solaris. There’s an “Untitled James Cameron Project” showing up on IMDb, but I don’t know much about it. He’s done a bunch of stuff for TV and video games.

Forgot about Dark Angel (Yeah, I could’ve looked this up on IMDB, but then I wouldn’t have the opportunity to talk to you fine folks).
But, imho, a TV show is a different creature than a movie - for example nobody really cares if your TV show fails… most of them do anyway, and if you’re a famous director nobody is going to hold it against you (ala Spielberg and _Amazing Stories_).

Looking at the link he is only credited with coming up with the characters for the 3 Terminator listings that top the list… and he did that back in 1984/90.
