I feel more like the battered spouse today. I finally got a restraining order, but I know hubby is drinking down at the tavern, nursing his grievance. Will he be the pathetic version of himself, sending unwelcome sobby texts, or the mean drunk who burns down the house with me in it? He’s sure going to be one of those because it’s not in him to be better. ---

Perfect summation there @squeegee! The “best” part is that after he’s dead, his brother who’s just like him but worse will be your new spouse. There will be a brief interlude of maybe 4 years between the two for you/us to try to heal a smidgen. ---

The reason Trump kept “winning” so much is that the GOP, like parents playing a board game with a cranky child, kept letting him win. ---

Getting you sick and tired is how he always tried to win, or stall proceedings so he had time to either not lose or watch the game move on to the next thing. Fifty+ lawsuits after the election were not there to really change the results, they were to buy time for him and steal time from his enemies. Rudy’s misdial phone call was about buying time, not because there was an idea as to why but you keep asking and whining and growling and eventually you snap and let one through. And then its a famous historical legal victory that vindicates him, and then he doesn’t shut up about it.
