My daughter just got her last dose this week.
The school organises everything - all we have to do is say “yes”
Also, I realize this link does not have the “age 52” requirement, but that is what the vaccination nurse said at the base clinic, she did have printed info, but I don’t have it on hand.
I’ll try to remember to ask next time I am there.
Thanks! Did you get immunized at a US Air Force base clinic? I may be able persuade a local dr if so, since I’m near one.
It’s been nearly a decade since I didn’t have someone close to me suffering from cancer; any step away from it, however much it costs out of my pocket, is a comfort.
Sorry - Canadian Army Base
Well, looks I’ve got a roadtrip in my future.
Yes, my daughter got it shortly after it came out, and i got it for my son right after it was approved for boys. The same virus causes throat cancer, so it seems like a good thing for boys, for them, not just for public health.
My daughter got it as soon as it was available, by the time they were recommending it for boys my son was on his own and making his own decisions. I’ve recommended it and he agreed but I’m not certain if he followed through.
When it first came to the clinic where my daughter (then 18) worked she was so disgusted by how it was pushed by the drug reps she refused to get it, and I guess she never got over the revulsion. I can’t make her do it.
I have an 11 year old and I guess it will come up at her next check-up. My only concern is the horror of getting her to take a shot. She’s a fighter, that one. And she’s bigger than me now
22 and 26 here, and yes, of course.
Whatever. Just get rid of the sanctimonious and overbearing commercial with the damn cancer kid.
“Did you?..Mom?..Dad?..”
I always wish either one would answer, “No I didn’t because I hoped you would be dead by now.”
Thankfully, I haven’t seen any of those.
Yeah, I insisted on it.
I met too many of those “I donated sperm/egg” parents of friends back in the day. Same assholes would come home from golfing and try to butt into a conversations with “Like my new boat? It used to be sonny’s college fund. Bootstraps, mah boy, bootstraps.”
I should feel badly about pissing in his golf bag later, but I don’t.
Not even years later.
