I have it on good authority that a Grisham novel is being adapted to a screenplay. I don’t want to give away too much, but a small town lawyer will take on a seemingly routine case that will end up involving a huge corporation that preys in the innocent and involve corruption at high levels of government. A racial tension subplot may or may not be included. ---

I’ve got to disagree with **Evil Captor** , I heard that in Charlize Theron’s next movie she’ll be playing a homely woman in yet another attempt to steal a best actress award via makeup. ---

Brent Spiner will appear in two or three episodes of a lackluster TV sci-fi series. No firm word yet, but he will probably play the role of some sort of doctor or scientist. Wil Wheaton is set to star in the sequel to _Brokeback Mountain_. :dubious: David Spade is about release a new movie where he will play an extremely smart person who most people read as a jerk but who really has a heart of gold and learns/teaches a valuable life lesson while getting to fondle some major hot babe. A fat guy will be the co-star, unless he dies. Stephen Hawking will play a computer voiced physicist explaining where God went wrong in a Nova/Discovery Channel/UPN?Disney cooperative effort filmed in IMax. There might be computer graphics involved somehow. ---

I hear Peter Jackson is adapting some classic work into a bloated three hour movie with lots of special effects. Andy Serkis is performing the totally cgi character through motion capture. ---

A comedy remake of _Mission: Impossible_ is nearing completion of the casting phase. Veteran actors Peter Graves and Martin Landau will reprise their TV roles, with the remainder of the team being made up of Robert Blake, OJ Simpson, Michael Jackson and Tom Sizemore. Tom Cruise has elected to sit this one out in favor of a joint venture with John Travolta exposing the inner workings of Scientology. ---

OK, let’s compromise on Charlize Theron. In her next film, she’ll play a homely babe who can really kick ass, symbolized by keeping her hair up in a bun and wearing glasses. Cynthia Rothrock will play this part of the role. Then something happens to make her take her glasses off and let her hair down, and presto! she’s gorgeous … but, and this is the really surprising, exciting part _she still kicks ass!_ ---
