Iā€™ve certainly seen data base servers go down for 8+ hoursā€¦and this isnā€™t even counting places obviously on a shoe string budget like the SDMB. Or do you figure that everyone has clustered, redundant servers with upper level switches just laying about in their data center? :rolleyes: Iā€™m with the others on thisā€¦Iā€™m just happy that someone busted their butts so close to Christmas to get the thing back up and working in such a relatively short time period, especially considering my guess as to the equipment and budget these folks are working under. I would be annoyed if I were still paying money to suscribe. I did find the ā€œserver downā€ message pretty amusing, though. It was something like ā€œservice will be down until it is restoredā€ or something like that. ---
