I was really hoping we could discuss the points that I brought up on the first page of this thread.
I assume your original purpose of posting here was to convince non-Christians that they should believe in Jesus and attain salvation. However, I don’t expect that any right-thinking person would do so simply because you show up and post an evangelical message. What were you thinking? Did you think that I had never heard of Jesus and that upon seeing your post I (or someone like myself) would say to himself “Oh my God! I never realized that Jesus was out there! I’ve got to run to him now!” Of course not. I’ve heard of Jesus before and have debated the plusses and minuses of Christianity. Seeing that, your originial “drive-by” post did nothing toward your goal with regard to me and with regard to just about every other poster on this board. So, I asked you to come here and answer some questions I had about Christianity. That’s not unreasonable, is it?
So, if you can, I’d greatly appreciate it if you can answer the questions I posted on the first page. Likewise, I’d greatly appreciate it if you can address Polycarp’s points on that page and Mangetout’s on the second page.

Since I already live relatively close to an obvious nexus of some sort, I’d better get my shit in order and prepare for the Ancient Ones, as I’m likely to be one of the first shoveled into His hideous maw. I’d like my family to be hip to the imminent non-Euclidian madness that awaits us all, but I think the Necronomicon is a bit heavy for my neices, who are but wee lasses, and cannot fully grasp the Deep Ones’ wisdom. The Comte was a fool and a liar. He did work to preserve, and spread the unholy texts during the French Revolution. But, any of his interpretations of them are severely flawed. Though he preserved and passed down the accumulated wisdom, he never possessed wisdom of his own.
I have read The Forbidden Book writ on fulvous dragon skin in runes of ever twisting flame, and must say that your interprtetation differs from mine.

There are two parts to God’s plan: God’s part and man’s part.
God does that which man cannot do and requires man to do that he can do for fimself.
Consider, if you will, God’s plan of redemption for man, the sinner. It is all necessary.
1. We are saved by grace. “For by grace are ye saved through faith.(Eph. 2:8).
2. We are saved by Jesus Christ. “For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost” (Luke 19:10).
3. We are saved by the gospel. “I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ for it the power of God unto salvation…” (Rom. 1:16).
4. We are saved by faith. “Therefore being justified by faith” (Rom. 5:1).
5. We are saved by repentance. “And the times of this ignorance God winked at, but now commandeth all men everywhere to repent” (Acts. 17:30).
6. We are saved by confessing faith in Christ. “…with the mouth confesson is made unto salvation. (Rom.10:10).
7. We are saved by calling upon the name of the Lord. “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved ” (Rom. 10:13).
8. We are saved by baptism. “…the like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us” (I Peter 3:21).
9. We are saved by works. “ye see then that by works a man is justified and not by faith only” (James 2:24).
And yet, it isGod who justifies us. “It is God that justifieth” (Romans 8:33).
This is God’s system for man’s justification. It is imperfect if any part is left out. We are to take all that the scriptures say on any subject of doctrine.
There are NO short cuts. God requires ALL !

You guys are right. He’s a machine. I tried treating him like a human being because that’s what I’m obligated to do, but he’s proven me wrong.
The only question now is “Who’s he and the people who built him working for?” Given all that AmazingGrace has done for Christianity here, my money’s on Cthulu!
