Whether or not to go after a trustee for holding a fire-sale for the benefit of someone other than the beneficiary? Sounds like a no-brainer to me. ---

I told Friend about this thread, and he wants me to put in .02 for him. This may not be all her, either. The lawyer representing Ms. Pritzker/Matthews will, if they win, collect enough money that _he_ will never have to work again. He could have been associated with the family long enough to know their weak points, and been waiting for an opportunity like this. Or even if he’d been a stranger, he would have commenced drooling as soon as he heard the name “Hyatt”. Not to dis any of the lawyers on this board. But if you think you wouldn’t take such a case, then imagine the kind of person who would. ---

I think it’s rather sad. [This Chicago Sun-Times article](http://www.suntimes.com/output/news/cst-nws-pritz08.html) suggests that GrandDaughter learned about relationships through the courts - if you get hurt, strike back with lawyers. If the allegations that the trustee, _her own father_, was truly not trustworthy, then I hope she has good lawyers. ---

I could start a company that employed thousands of people, thus generating even more billions of dollars, for yourself, your employees and for the economy as a whole. I could also invest that money in other companies that do the same. I could start philanthropic organizations that pursue a variety of social or scientific goals, or I could make donations to other groups that do the same. I could also hire Rush Limbaugh to be my 24/7 fluffer and a camera crew to film him at work. I could find lots of ways of spending my money any damn way I chose. Or were you just assuming she’d spend it all on horsies and parties and jewelery? ---

I am totally disgusted. No, not by the “spoiled” young woman who literally had _death_ wished on her in this vicious thread, simply because she has money. I am appalled by the dark underbelly of human nature that is revealed in the OP and in most of the subsequent posts on this thread. Envy is an ugly thing. You people think you are justified in beating up on this girl; that she doesn’t deserve basic human respect and privacy because she is so much more fortunate than you are? (BTW, the article linked in the OP is not exactly written in a balanced, unbiased tone. It is intended to stir up the envy and wrath of the Common Man, and it obviously worked!) The people who debase this “greedy” girl here and call her every name in the book are the same people who, if a Saintly, Struggling Single Mother suddenly came into riches, would say, “Good for her! She deserves it! It couldn’t have happened to a better person!” At least they would say these things for a little while. No longer struggling, as soon as the dust settles, the person in that example would probably incur the same wrath and envy from certain people as the born-rich girl. I am not rich, but I never begrudge anyone their money. I certainly don’t go into tantrums and death-wishes just because someone lives and thinks on a larger financial scale than I. This attitude says a lot about the people who envy, and nothing about the _envied_. Of course, the media has a bag full of slick maneuvers to stir up the this ugly human trait, the envy of the common man because the media know the Struggling Little Guy is dumb enough to fall for it. ---
