Does the grey market also include subscription licenses? I know it’s a big thing for ‘one off’ type product licences, but I’m not clear on how someone could resell a susbcription without being authorised.
Yeah. For example, one of the accounts being sold on eBay was from an European selling his educational account under some supposed EU right of first sale doctrine. I’m not sure how that works across borders, or if the law even exists, but there ya go.
It’s probably really more of a black market, TBH, just that the law and/or Microsoft hasn’t really caught up to it yet. They probably don’t want to. It’s free advertising for them and keeps users away from competitors.
Microsoft Office 365 comes with desktop programs, online programs, and online storage. The desktop programs are more full-featured than the online programs, and there is a slight delay when using the online programs.
I use Microsoft Office 365 desktop on my various machines, and when I do not have one of them with me, I use the online programs on public terminals and my cell phone.
For pricing, there are various desktop packages, so go to Microsoft Office 365’s website to see which package offers the features that you require. https://products.office.com/en-us
If cost is a big issue for you, start with the online version only and see if it meets your needs. It is free. Yes, free. Directly from Microsoft. The real McCoy. No strings attached. Free. https://products.office.com/en-ca/office-online/documents-spreadsheets-presentations-office-online#office-online-products
Microsoft also offers a lot of free online training for Microsoft Office programs. Microsoft 365 Training
Thanks, everyone. Muffin, I’ll certainly check out the online version. Thanks.
