Thanks. > [@fetus](#): > > Didn’t mean to be snippy about the font, **jtnewsom.** To expound on this, don’t think you did anything against the rules or “wrong” per se–but many Dopers frown upon the use of non-default fonts, colors, sizes, etc. and find it annoying because it breaks from the clean, organized appearance that sets us apart from most other message boards. Again, I apologize for being a bit of a prick about it. So what’s the straight dope on this? You can have all these varieties, but don’t you dare actually use them. Reminds me of “Mother, may I go out to swim?” “Yes, my darling daughter. Hang your clothes on a hickory branch… but don’t go near the water!” Or was **fetus** overdoing the junior-modding? ---

[/QUOTE] This font has been changed by the Fontist. 😃 Personally I do not have a problem with posts in different font unless somebody uses wing dings. Using a different font is not anoying, what I did above is very anoying. ---

**fetus** was stating his personal opinion, which is not reflective of the Moderators or the Board Rules. Heck, there are some people who will object to the sun coming up in the east. I think that common courtesy suggests that one not use colors and font sizes to be annoying to others. However, that’s simple good manners. And what’s annoying to one person may be merely blinding to others.
