I know that there are computerized sensors that are able to identify wines by “smell”, beating or matching the best human wine experts. Once you’ve broken down a smell into something a computer can interpret, I suppose it isn’t that big a jump from being able to make a “copy” of a smell and reproduce it.
That being said, I hate to imagine the new strain of computer virii that can be cooked up with these… 🙂
