# Dilbert TV series to be released on DVD

According to Amazon, the set will be released on January 27.
I can’t wait, personally. After the series went on (permanent?) hiatus, I wondered how long it would be before we could get at least some of the episodes on DVD. Yayyyyyyyy!
I know, I know, it wasn’t a great series - but I found it to be inventive and creative, and a whole lot of fun. Plus the voice casting was dead on, IMO.

The bright side is that since it was only one season, getting the entire set will be relatively cheap. 🙂

[Actually, it was on for two.](http://www.tvtome.com/Dilbert/guide.html)
First season had 13 eps, while the second had 17.

I’ve never seen the show – I’m curious about it. Maybe I’ll rent it and see a few eps.
A local radio station plays a bit from teh show Jeri Ryan as 7/9 talking alarm clock “wake up and assimilate the day” (at least I think it is from that show.

I really enjoyed the show, but one of the biggest problems was that UPN moved it around all the time. 'Course, that’s not uncommon with new shows nowadays, but it really helped sink this one.

I saw a couple of episodes of this on its original run, and some reruns on Comedy Central. The episode with the Dupey toys (“They’re like accountants with wings.”) is one of the strangest and funniest toy satires ever. “If you want a transcript of today’s show, we will send it directly to you via mental telepathy. And remember, if your parents don’t buy you at least one Dupey a week, _ **they’re only pretending to love you!** _”
And Sony’s also giving us _The Critic_: The Complete Series. (Which will possibly be the only DVD in history which features the words “It Stinks!” on the cover. I’m surprised they didn’t put that on _Gigli_.) Let the chips fall where they may, and let the naysayers naysay. _I_ think TV on DVD is one of the best things to happen to DVD since…DVD.
