When I was little? How about a couple of hours ago in a bar? Some old guy - a complete stranger, although apparently he knew my step-mom - starts telling some story about hoe god gave women dimples to make them prettier, and grabbed put his hands all over my face. I like my dimples, but am not a fan of the stranger-grope. ---

Do the ones at the corners of your mouth count? I have two, my sister has one, and my daughter has three, two in one corner and one in the other, corner. We all got the pinchy relative thing. My son ended up with the high in the cheek dimple. When he was little it was obvious, but he’s a gangly 20 year old now, and it’s not as apparent. Oh and FWIW we’re not Italian (English, Scottish, Scandinavian) so…no it’s not just Italian families. ---

I have dimples when I smile, and they have served me very well on the dating front. Don’t remember be accosted as a child by maiden aunts though (I’m English, so maybe we’re a little more reserved about such things…) ---

I’ve never had dimples, but I’ve had my cheeks pinched enough times that I think it should be legal to hit, bite, kick or otherwise attempt to or succeed in maiming people who do it. It’s self-defense, damnit. Close relatives didn’t do it, or did it once and stopped as soon as they saw we didn’t like it, but there’s a race of old ladies who apparently think God made babies so they’d have someone to bully. All of them claim to like kids; I think women like those are why people came up with the evil hags of fairy tales. ---

This is going to sound really dumb but I had no clue I had dimples until I was 27 and a totally random lady in a rest stop commented on them. I mentioned it to my boyfriend and he said…“Um, yeah, they’ve always been there.” ---

I also don’t have dimples like that Pepsi girl but they are there. The lady in the rest stop commented on my pretty red hair. I smiled and said thanks and she said, “Oh! You’ve got dimples too! Aren’t you too cute!” I was too shocked at the revelation that I have dimples to be annoyed that she was calling a 27 year old with tattoos, “cute”. ---

Our local PBS station has one promo featuring a young lady with dimples that could cut glass. I always watch it. ---

My daughter has dimples. We don’t pinch cheeks, and I don’t think it’s ever been done to her. ---

I have them. People used to fuss over them when I was a kid, but no one ever told me what dimples were. “You’ve got dimples!” Me, thinking: “What the fuck are dimples.” I never liked them one way or another until I discovered [I got dimples on my jaw.](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rQydJ0WU85Q) ---
