[/QUOTE] Actually I think that’s supposed to be how snakes originally looked in the Garden of Eden, according to whatever stripe of Christianity that Chick claims to represent. See, as punishment for tempting Adam and Eve, God curses the snake to “crawl on its belly.” But if that’s true, then logically, _before_ the curse, snakes _didn’t_ crawl on their bellies. Therefore, they must have had legs. Or else they got around some other way-- possibly by holding their tails in their mouths and rolling on their backs, which is where the story of the mythical “hoop snake” came from. Frankly I think Chick dropped the ball by not considering that alternate interpretation-- seems like he would have had a blast drawing it. Before the Fall, all the happy snakes rolling around the Garden, spinning doughnuts around the other animals! \* “WOOO-HOOOO! Look at us snakes go! Eat our dust, quadrupeds!”\* After the Fall, miserable sluggish slithering reptiles! _“Grandpa Snake, I wish we snakes were still able to roll around!” “That’s the price of **sin** , my boy!”_ ---

I could seriously go for a dino-burger right now. I’m almost considering going downstairs and cooking my housemate’s pet water-dragon. Maybe if I just took the tail, he’d grow a new one before his owner gets back (Can water-dragons do that with the tail?) Fuck it, I’m going down there. ---

I am particularly confused as to how JTC can believe in a worldwide flood, but he’s unable to wrap his mind around a meteorite crashing into the Earth and causing drastic climate changes. I would think that he’d claim that GOD could send meteors to a sinful world. And since when do lizards/dragons have eyelashes? I never noticed eyelashes on the horned lizards (popularly but incorrectly called horny toads) that I used to catch as a young girl. ---

I wouldn’t be surprised if it was supposed to mean something, but search me what. I quite enjoyed the scientific-crazy of the first bit, but the last part was generically boring. I was also glad to see that the [professor from Big Daddy](http://www.chick.com/reading/tracts/0055/0055_01.asp) made a re-appearance in panels 11&12. His art quality has gone downhill a bit, but he’s found the energy that got quashed by that meddlesome student way back when. ---

It had a **HAW!** and Fang and a big fat lizard wearing a Lone Ranger mask and warming his talons over a barbecue pit. What a great stuffed animal that lizard would make. Maybe Jack should look into merchandizing. ---
