Adam and Eve were cavemen?
Since the serpent resembles the GEICO gecko, maybe this isn’t as bizarre as I first thought. Bringing sin to the world: so easy, a caveman can do it.

I think it’s not so much Bible quoting as it is that “if/then” logic (there’s a name for it, but I forget what it is. I believe Dave Barry gave as an example “Marlon Brando is a great actor. Marlon Brando is fat. Therefore, all great actors are fat.”) Dragons are animals. God asked Noah to bring every animal onto the ark\*. Therefore, dragons were on Noah’s ark.

\*Not two, as commonly believed- just two of the ones that couldn’t be eaten. The ones that could got a couple more pairs.

Dear Goddess, just how many plates did that artist think he had to put on the back of the stegosaurus? (Panel 14, not the later one)

I should declare a jihad against Jack Chick for taking the image of my beloved stegosaurus in vain.

Never fear; it’s clearly a [Tuojiangosaurus.](http://www.rainbowdolphin.com/dinosaurs/images/gal_Tuojiangosaurus.jpg)

Well, I was trying to figure out why he bothered mentioning dragons at all, figuring some unknown-to-me translation mentions them. Why doesn’t he just say that Noah brought two dinosaurs onto the ark?

I know, I know, I 'm asking a Chick Tract to make sense. As though the rest of it was the pinnacle of logic.

Maybe because [dragons are mentioned extensively in Revelations](http://www.fairrosa.info/dragon/bible.html), and Chick is a big Armageddon freak? Does that mean the End Times are near when dinosaurs again walk the earth? You know, those 7-headed, ten-horned dinosaurs, the hepta-cephalo-deca-ceratops?

Oh, and it’s also clear from the nonchalant way that Dad mentions they might be eating the last dinosaur shows that Chick isn’t much for conservaton.
The hunter promises the kid dino-burgers, but then in panel 10 they’re eating dino-kebab. Why the menu change???
They thought that they were quite likely eating the very last one, or at least one of a very few left, so they decided to stretch it out as much as they could?

Can someone remind me again why Jack Chick and his Tracts of Doom are in any way relevant, beyond providing nice fodder for SDMB-style bashings? Does he actually have a sizable (serious) readership?

When I was at my first job (Arby’s, age 15), my fundie boss gave me Chick Tracts _all the damned time_, especially after he learned I was Mormon. I didn’t even know what they were called until years later, but the “HAW HAW HAW!” was a running joke between me and my friends.

Yeah, that would have probably worked. Or, failing that, they could have just stopped being such [pigasauruses](http://www.vivarockvegas.com/html/scenes_creature.html) about it…

Oh, and LonesomePolecat, if you have more to say about the tract, after your “scooped” thread was closed upon your request, you know that you’re more than welcome to post here.

As Eddie Izzard teaches us, animals without long ears (I’m assuming that includes dinosaurs.) had to ride inside the ark instead of along the sides. How big was it again?
