What makes you think I care if you’ve reported me? You unbdoubtedly have, probably multiple times, and you’ve been stymied by the fact that calling somebody a troll doesn’t make it true. Your stalking behavior and weird personal obsession with me is starting to make me a little nervous, though. It’s just a message board, dude. ---

[/QUOTE] Also, why do you keep saying things like this? In this specific case the dude has been acting as the child’s parent for half of that child’s life. You have already been shown that you are 100% wrong on the legality of this issue, so this is obviously an emotional or moral issue for you that you are trying to tart up with law. So what is the magic threshold here? If they dated for a month and got married right away would he be a “real” parent? If they lived together for 10 years rather than 3 would that do the trick? Also, who the fuck are you to make this call? Or could it be that chasing away the monsters from beneath the child’s bed and going out at 3 am to get cough medicine and taking the day off to go to the school play and taking the child to the movies while the mother has a night off and teaching him how to fly a kite and how to pull your earlobes to suck in a spaghetti noodle and make whistles out of blades of grass and pushing him on the swing and giving piggy back rides are the things that make a parent? The more I think about your attitude here the more I am pretty disgusted by you. ---

I actually think, and said several times, that I don’t thank the BF sounds like a bad guy at all, since he was responsive to the OP’s complaint and siad he was sorry. My issue is not with him at all, but with assertions, in the abstract, that a mother is “overeacting” if she gets angry about her boyfriend hitting her kid, and the general belittling of her feelings (“it’s no big deal,” etc.). ---
