Dio, unless you believe your opinion to be of greater value than any other persons, state your position and then leave it be. One or two followups to clarify is one thing, but when an entire thread becomes about you and not about the OP that’s just being a threadshitter. Learn to recognize the difference between GD and not-GD. ---

Isn’t this a pit thread about me? In the other thread, I posted an opinion in response to the OP s request for opinions. I then responded to direct questions. If people start piling up on me or asking questions, it’s not too fair to say I shouldn’t be answering. ---

When you’re massively outvoted, picking a fight with each and every person just derails the thread. So you can either end up as the unintentional thread troll, or accept that you’re the lone loony that no one agrees with (_but will be proven right in the end!_) and shut up. ---

That’s an _ad populum_ fallacy to start with, but I’m actually not massively outvoted, anyway. If you pay attention, plenty of people have agreed with me. I’m just the only one who gets attacked for it. ---

Oh, well, if we’re taking votes now, I think **Dio** is being a complete and total dick on this topic and I don’t agree with him in the slightest. But I learned a long time ago to just avoid threads that turn into the **Dio** show. When he decides that he’s right about something, that’s pretty much the end of rational conversation in the thread. ---
