I love the email notification feature. However, sometimes I get weary of following a particular thread, and I’d like to stop receiving notifications of additional posts. The notification email text reads:

> [@](#):
>
> There may be other replies also, but you will not receive any more notifications until you visit the thread.

but generally I receive the occasional notification whether or not I visit. Is there a way to manually disable the email notification for a particular thread midstream?

The only way to achieve that is asking a mod to edit your OP. That way, we can uncheck the “Receive e-mail notification” box, and you’ll stop receiving e-mails.

Disclaimer: no moderator is under any obligation to do this for you. But if you ask, nicely, they might just do it. 🙂
