On my desktop, I can see my bottom-of-the-page taskbar with all the icons including the clock appearing on the left, but when I click on IE5.5 to go to my Excite start page, all those icons (including the START one on the far left) disappear and only the “Internet” icon (world) remains. Any idea how I can fix this?

Thanks
Quasi

As long as the world remains, we’ll all be safe.

have you tried going to start/settings/task bar and clicking on “Always on Top” and clicking off “Auto Hide” ?

That worked but Auto-Hide wasn’t enabled so I am wondering if I might have caused the problem myself by going to FULL SCREEN while playing online Jeopardy, because that is when I noticed th taskbar problem. Apparently just re-clicking FULL SCREEN did not solve the disappearing taskbar problem at the time, hence my confusion.

Thanks also to Jeff, who, while being of little use, \*did \* restore my faith in “the world”.
