# disappointed in Obama? Know Someone Better ???

Exactly my problem. Do I think there are people who’d have done a better job (i.e., one that’s more in line with how I personally want the country to be run)? Yes. Do I think they have any chance whatsoever of being elected? Hell no. Do I think the other viable alternative (McCain/Palin) would have done a better job than what we ended up with (Obama/Biden)? \*Fuck \*no.

I \*\*\*had \*\*\*a lot of respect for McCain. If it would have been him beating Gore in 2000, I wouldn’t have been so incredibly (and, unfortunately, presciently) frightened. Then he apparently decided in 2008 that he’d had enough of losing and was going to do whatever it took to get elected. Contrast this with someone like Ron Paul, whose positions I often loathe, but whom I respect as a politician because of his general idealogical consistency.
