> The only other singer/songwriter I can think of being so well known for a song he didn’t write is Arlo Guthrie’s City of New Orleans.

He might get a good run for his money, though, with Patsy Kline doing Willie Nelson’s “Crazy”, and of course the Paul Anka-penned “My Way” sung by, well, do I even need to say?

An old Victoria band - Shovlhed - did lots of fine covers, including this feisty rendition of King Crimson’s [Great Deciever](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CAGgwnxO7kY)

Possibly already mentioned: “Summertime Blues” had at least two awesome covers, by [Blue Cheer](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YXcYZsqkZ-g) and [The Who](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yUBy4ZvpaJc).

[Sublime - Scarlet Begonias](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4Cg2O4SsHQw) (Grateful Dead cover) I am not a big rap fan but I like the rap Sublime added in the middle.

I love [Slayer’s cover](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oTtV0QYvuyI) of Judas Priest’s Dissident Aggressor. It’s cool how they use guitars in some parts where the original has Rob Halford’s voice.

Also [Corrosion of Conformity](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=14wLjtKF33M) with a cover of Lord of This World by Black Sabbath. Has a really cool hyperspace sounding effect.
