This is fucking mind-boggling. Trump and Netenyahu have come out together and as much as said “We want to complete the ethnic cleansing of Gaza” and that’s still not enough for @Babale and @Smapti and you just shrug it off because there’s just _no way_ they’d really do it—or a if they do, surely it will be voluntary, like deportation to the East or something? What the fuck is wrong with you two? Morons. Monsters. Both of you. ---

People have a bad track record of not believing that he wants to do what he says he wants to do. As for myself, my view on Israel has changed since the inauguration. Previously, the two sides in the war were only comparable if you view the Palestinians in the absolute best light and Israel in the worst possible light. And even then, I would side with Israel since it is closer to a liberal democracy and Palestine is allies with America’s enemies. The “resort” stunt shows that their embrace of ethnic cleansing is enthusiastic rather than casual. And Israel is now allies with an enemy of America. If they’re not going to speak up when an actual, literal fascist is systematically dismantling liberal democracy, I’m not sure what would make them defend it. ---

Also a reminder that with things like this going on, events in Gaza are pretty much irrelevant with regards to long term peace and security for Israel. Just war and bloodshed forever. ---

Well…it’s high time for the International Community to move in and at least help implement the 2-state solution by forcing Israel to withdraw both their troops and their rightwing Jewish settlers from the Palestinian territories, and to allow the Palestinians in West Bank, Gaza Strip and Arab East Jerusalem to create their own independent, sovereign nation-state **alongside** Israel and not **strong text** in place of it, in West Bank, Gaza Strip and East Jerusalem. Israel must withdraw their troops and their settlers from the Palestinian Territories. ---

One of the biggest, if not the biggest obstacles to peace in the middle east is the persistent refusal on the part of all sides (i. e. Israel, the Palestinians, and the Arab States, and the West, generally, for its complicity in this whole debacle, to openly and squarely face up to the accountability in the Arab-Israeli debacle, which has been going on for decades. ---

It would be nice, but they can’t actually _do_ that as they don’t run the place. Israel does. And they have nuclear weapons so military force is off the table. It’s the fundamental problem with the demands that outsiders like “the International Community” or a US President solve the issue; they haven’t the ability. The Israelis can and will exterminate the entire Palestinian population, with nobody stopping them. ---

Like I’ve said before when genocide defenders go “but where are the death camps?”, we’re clearly still at the _Einsatzgruppen_ stage of this particular Solution. Instead of an _Intelligenzaktion_, you have a _Sanitäteraktion_. And burying your victims in mass graves is very on-brand for that stage. I mean, also on brand for the IOF itself [since before there was an IOF proper](https://www.theguardian.com/world/2023/may/25/study-1948-israeli-massacre-tantura-palestinian-village-mass-graves-car-park)… ---
