The Israelis say they are swallowing Hamas bullshit, but they are a group of journalists, and seem more credible to me than either side. I’ve also heard American reporters from both Reuters and NPR mourn the death of colleagues from Israeli attacks. ---

You brought up the laws of war in response to a question about prosecution of rape. But let’s start over. Do you support or oppose Israel dropping the prosecution of gang rape for the Sde Teiman incident? Here’s a hint - @Babale said a while back that they should be in jail. Do you agree with Babs? ---

That’s the prosecuting office’s decision, not mine, and your cite says they had insufficient evidence. What is it that you want - that they should go to trial and be found not guilty? I honestly don’t care. It’s an Israeli internal matter. They can deal with it however they choose. It’s not relevant to the things I do care about, which is defeating Hamas. ---

Once again, some of us think rape is always wrong, and should always be prosecuted. We don’t have too many threads about it, because nearly everyone agrees with this. It’s always shocking when we find someone, like yourself, who openly admits some rapes don’t matter. That’s why I’m interested. I find it horrible, but fascinating, that someone is willing to admit they don’t care about rape in some circumstances. Can you explore this feeling you have? Do you similarly have no problem with rape in American prisons? When does rape bother you, and when does it not? ---

Dear God. How often do you think it happens that violent rapes are videoed, and then the prosecution drops the case, and politicians praise the rapists? No, i actually don’t think there are any cases like that in the US. If there were, I’d be a lot more outraged than about it happening in Israel. For similar reasons to my being more outraged about it happening in Israel then i am outraged about Gazan terrorists who get away with rape. ---

Does anyone here support or excuse failing to prosecute those rapes? If not, how are they relevant? We have posters in this thread admitting they don’t care about the gang rape of a Palestinian prisoner. ---
