That’s fair and I sympathize with the cat thing: for a while, ex and I had an elderly cat who decided her mission in life was to soil (usually puke, sometimes other) every bed in the house if let into that bedroom. We kept all the bedroom doors closed for a couple of years until she passed away. ---

I have a sheet and a single light blanket (as light as I can get) on top. No, definitely not a comforter- too heavy, too hot. ---

I like Envy. I think it’s okay to be envious of someone getting to do something I can’t. I’m just glad someone gets to have the experience Broken bones: I voted one, for the cartilage in my nose. 4-engine planes, a few, but no 747, wahh! (but I may have broken toes and tailbone; my mother didn’t think it was worth the expense to get it checked out. She knew the doc would not be able to help with the situation. Car: left/driver’s side UK accent: I picked Scouse, though Glaswegian is close. It’s frustrating but entertaining. What I didn’t see on the list was Bristle, which is my favorite. I abstained from the presidential vote, because I would in real life. I also abstained from the pubic hair one. The last time I stated my case for my choice here, I was rudely argued with by someone who doesn’t live in my body but still felt it necessary to tell me I was making a poor choice. No. I gave good reasons for my choice. Nobody has tried to kill me that I am aware of, but that doesn’t mean nobody has never wished me dead. Commercial toothpaste because it’s easier than making my own. Mom got fed up with commercial stuff and would use a mixture of baking soda and salt. I tried it. Yuck. Current bed is a queen innerspring and I use a comforter. When with ex, we used a duvet, but I find duvet covers a pain in the neck to wash and reassemble. Current home is a 2bed 2bath, but that’s about to change as I become technically homeless in two weeks. I’ll be, umm, sleeping around for a bit. ---

My Mom threatened to kill me in very specific ways any number of times and told other people she was afraid she was going to kill me because she couldn’t control herself around me - but there were very few actual attempts. The closest is the night she almost hit me with her truck. I don’t think she was trying to kill me so much as operating with depraved indifference that I happened to be standing there in her way. I was standing there because she was in a fight with her husband, and had just announced her plans to drive off and kill herself and I was trying to stop her from leaving. So while I stood there in the middle of the driveway, she floored the gas pedal and drove right toward me. I was able to get out of the way but the moment left a very strong impression on me, as I know she could not have stopped in time had I chosen not to move, and I also felt that by chickening out, I had failed to keep her safe. I’m an adult now and realize how backward that is. I also remember being surprised that yes, I am acceptable collateral damage in this little drama she’s unfolding. I don’t remember my exact age but I was probably about twelve. She once drove her car into the side of my step dad’s business. Then hit reverse and drove into it again. She really didn’t care who she hurt when she was angry. Still doesn’t, which is why I don’t talk to her. ---
